WarrantyArea Detector Systems Corporation (ADSC) warrants all Quantum CCD detector systems for one full year from the date of initial system installation. This Warranty covers faulty material or workmanship in the detector system as originally installed. Damage that results from abuse, misuse, incorrect power source, modifications, unauthorized service, or acts of God is excluded from coverage by this Warranty. Systems requiring service outside of Warranty coverage will be repaired on a time and materials basis.A detector being repaired under Warranty will be brought into compliance with the original performance specifications. All parts and labor required to bring the detector back into such compliance are included in this Warranty coverage. When a detector system cannot, in the opinion of ADSC, be repaired at the customer's site, ADSC will specify what parts of the system are to be shipped to ADSC for repair. In this case shipping and insurance costs will be paid by ADSC. The system or components must be returned to ADSC in their original shipping containers and properly packaged to ensure no damage during shipment. If the original shipping containers are not available, contact the ADSC sales office at (858) 486-0618 for new containers that can be supplied at a nominal cost. If a detector system or any part thereof, is not returned in a proper shipping container, then the warranty reverts to a time and material repair only. Service ContractsArea Detector Systems Corporation offers annual Service Contracts for all Quantum CCD detector systems for up to three years after the Warranty expires. Contact the ADSC sales office at (858) 486-0618 for pricing details. If a service contract is to be purchased, it must be arranged before the end of the warranty period so there is no gap in coverage. If the Warranty expires without a service contract in place, then service will be offered thereafter on a time and materials basis only.Service Contracts provide a maximum of two on-site service calls per year. ADSC maintains the right to determine if on-site calls are required. Every attempt will be made to diagnose problems by telephone, e-mail, or FAX. Where appropriate, replacement parts will be shipped via overnight air freight at ADSC's expense. The customer is responsible for all shipping and insurance costs encountered in returning any system or components to ADSC for repair. ADSC will then pay shipping and insurance costs to return the repaired system or components to the customer. All system returns must follow the shipping instructions as above in the original warranty terms. Failure to comply with these instructions can cause service contracts to revert to a time and material basis only. NotificationWhen detector system components are to be returned to ADSC for service, the customer must first arrange with ADSC to get a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number assigned to the shipment. This RMA number must then be referenced on all applicable documentation including shipping labels.Call ADSC at (858) 486-0444 or FAX (858) 486-0722, or e-mail sales@adsc-xray.com to get an RMA number assigned. ADSC does recognize the importance of timely repair response under both warranty and service agreement conditions. Special attention will be given to this repair cycle where it is made clear that beam line user time is affected. In this case, it is requested that the customer inform ADSC of this situation when the RMA number is requested so the system can be "RED FLAGGED" by ADSC. ADSC will make every reasonable attempt to give priority to these systems to ensure repair turnaround is accomplished within a maximum of ten working days from receipt of the system to the day of return shipping.
