The
following is a brief resume of the current management structure.
Ron
Hamlin, President
Majority
shareholder and CEO since starting ADSC in 1983 with Christopher Nielsen
and Professor Xuong Nguyen-huu. Ron possesses a B.S., M.S. and a Ph.D
in Physics from the University of California. The Ph.D was granted
for advanced technology development work including much of the design
of the readout electronics leading to the commercialization of a Multiwire
Area Detector used for protein X-ray crystallography. Current responsibilities,
in addition to those of CEO, include hands-on management and involvement
in the hardware development for ADSC's current and future CCD X-ray detector
products.
Christopher
Nielsen, Treasurer and Software Manager
A
founding shareholder who has been primarily responsible for the development
of all required software applicable to the company's product software,
which controls the area detector during data acquisition and provides
various user interfaces for data reduction. Christopher's qualifications
include over 15 years direct experience, a B.A. in Mathematics, coupled
with an M.A. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California.
Xuong
Nguyen-huu, Secretary and Staff Consultant
A
founding shareholder now in charge of new methods for data collection.
Professor of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry at U.C.S.D.
Over 40 years experience as a high energy physicist and a protein crystallographer
leading to the first successful use of an X-ray Area Detector for protein
crystallography. Xuong has a M.A. in Electronics Engineering from Ecole
Superieure d'Electricite and in Mathematics from the University of Paris
(France); coupled with an M.A. and Ph.D in Physics from U.C. Berkeley.
Tom
Hontz , V.P. Marketing and Finance
Tom has over
twenty-five years of executive experience within the high-technology field.
Responsible for all aspects of financial and marketing activities for
ADSC business.
